Sixth day -- from Albuquerque to Taos, NM

Enpowered by Kellog's cornflakes we start our morning routine of buying gas and ice on a street selling American dreams - homes and RV's. We follow the Turquoise Trail that leads us to the old town of Madrid now abandoned by ghosts and reoccupied by artists with their galleries.

We head to the old Anasazi indian dwellings at Bandelier National Monument and hike there for an hour or two. Climbing up ladders at 7000 feet tells us that we are not true Anasazis.

Lunch skipped we drive on to have dinner at Embudo Station, the oldest microbrewery in New Mexico. After the dinner and some chili flavoured beer we reach Taos at beautiful sunset and find a place to stay overnight.
