It’s summer … it’s winter … it’s summer

We had friends visiting from the US this weekend. Today it was one of the first real Summer days here in Grenoble, and what did we do? We took these guys above 2000 meters to show them Winter (when it actually just unseasonally snowed in their home state). This is Chamrousse 1650:

We took the cablecar up to 2250 meters to La Croix de Chamrousse.

We had wished to see Mont Blanc from La Croix, but there were some other peaks on the way. By the way, that’s Grenoble down there, and Vercors range in the back:

From Chamrousse we drove down to Vizille for lunch. We had a quick stroll in the gardens of Château de Vizille. We have yet to to visit the Musée de la Révolution française de Vizille which is hosted in the castle.
