Because the daily new confirmed Covid-19 cases started to escalate this Fall, reaching new record rates pretty much every day (this past Saturday 87000 new cases! ), the second lockdown was enforced starting 30.10. until the first of December. The rules are the same as during the first one. Only essential trips outside of home are allowed: going to work and grocery shopping, pharmacy and doctor visits, individual outdoor exercise within one kilometer from home, for one hour, once a day.
So, we have adopted pretty much the same routine as in the Spring (and actually maintained since the Spring): going running early every morning — since long runs are not possible — and grocery shopping to a big supermarket twice a week. We also try to motivate us to keep up the healthy lifestyle by cooking most, if not all, our meals. Two things we made this past weekend were Sichuan boiled fish and bialy babka, a Polish bread with cooked onions and poppy seeds.
