This was not at all the hike we had planned from Super Collet (at 1640m altitude), only half of the distance and partly different route. After about two kilometers into our hike, we got apprehensive of the dark clouds that were gathering above us (it was perfectly sunny when we started) and the strong gusty wind that was rising, and turned back and chose a shorter route that was not so exposed. This is where we turned back (the original route continued to the steep climb):
The rest of the hike may have been shorter, but it was by no means easy: it traveled on a top of a narrow ridge going constantly up and down with short but steep climbs and descents. Afterwards my legs felt like I have been doing squats and lunges for an hour (which essentially was what I had been doing!). This was probably our slowest hike ever! We spent two and a half hours doing just four and a half kilometers, with 350 meters of ascent and descent.
This respite from the heat, even if short and temporary, was very welcome: it was +37°C in the town when we got back.
