We only spent one night at Tomi’s family’s summer house. In hindsight, after learning that the internet worked there just fine, we should have spent more time there. On the other hand, spending all those rainy and thundestormy days on the small island would have been a lousy idea, since there is nothing much to do besides swimming and canoeing. Beyond the immediate neighborhood of the cabins the terrain is pretty rough. We only did short walk to find that there are a lot, A LOT, lingonberries this year.
From Eastern Finland we returned to Helsinki for the final three days of our vacation, making a brief stop in Tampere to visit Tei’s mother.
Next part, Summer Suomi (Part IV), summarizes our adventures in Eastern Helsinki.
