Yesterday we ran our second Grenoble – Vizille semi-marathon race — or actually a 22(.2) -km race. We improved our time from the last year by ten minutes. The weather was equally miserable as last year; cloudy with strong and chilly Northerly wind.
The weather changed drastically last night, and this morning we were met with some freezing temperatures and a lot of sunshine. The chilly wind is still blowing. We set out for a hike around Néron, but had to turn back after a couple of kilometers since the outer sole of Tei’s hiking boots fell off. These were the boots we bought in Singapore. In our experience, shoes do not take very well moves from humid climate to drier one. We had an opportunity to take some Spring time pictures:
In three weeks we’ll head out to Spain to run the Rock’n’Roll marathon Madrid. We have been training with the four-hour goal in mind, but really the goal is to finish and improve the time of our previous Madrid marathon three years ago.
And after Madrid we start training UT4M, a mountain ultra marathon (of 160km) run on four massifs around Grenoble. We will only ran the last section (40km) up to Chartreuse and then down to Grenoble.
