We did not stay but one day in Helsinki both on our trip in and out from Finland. That was quite enough to squeeze in a morning run in a refreshing temperature, pay a visit to an optician to choose and order our new glasses, and then pick them up two weeks later, and finally visit the exhibitions at the art museum Amos Rex — we had not been to that museum before.
On our return trip we went for another run on Baana bicycle/pedestrian path and around the Töölönlahti bay. We spent the rest of the day shopping necessities we only cannot find in France. Note that this is when we are already going back to Italy and France; in between these two days in Helsinki we spent two weeks in the South-Eastern Finland.
So, the following morning we took a very early train to Tampere, where we transferred to the Serlachius Shuttle to Mänttä.
