We love to live in the place with seasons, not only seasons in weather but also in fresh produce. Earlier this Spring, like last year too, we had a citrus fruit season when an abundance of mandarines, clementines, and satsumas were available (of course lemon, lime, oranges, and grapefruit are available all year around). When the season was over they were nowhere to be found. Now it is the peach, apricot, and nectarine season. I guess they will be gone in a few weeks time.
There are also another kind of seasons; anyone familiar with a (American) college town knows that, but this is a bit different. Our place is in the mediaval old town. There are a lot of bars and restaurants around. In the winter time they cause noise problems only when people (mostly students on Thursday nights) dare the outdoors to smoke (and sing), but the pubs close latest at 2am. In the Summer the problem is a bit different; then people return from whatever parties they have been to, screaming, fighting, and breaking things on our street as they go from 4am. to 6am. It has become quite annoying recently. So, we will be viewing apartments again.
