Just a brief post of yesterday‘s hike and attempt to find some cooler and cleaner air. We did part of this hike in February last year. Then I wrote that it was lovely but challenging hike, the difficulty mainly due to snow and ice on the trail, and no snowshoes. We didn‘t see point taking them, since there was no snow at the trailhead, and in hindsight, I don‘t think they would have helped much. There was nothing special about this hike, this time we just wanted to escape the heat in the town somewhere reasonable drive away. Again in hindsight, we should have gone somewhere much higher, it was still very hot at 1300-1500 meters. This hike did not offer many splendid views, but fortunately most of the time it traveled in the forest, where surprisingly we found some breeze.
