Finally, starting from this day, our luck with the weather changed. It was sunnier and warmer, and the worst chilly wind had mostly died out. We stopped in Concarneau on our drive from Quimber to Carnac. First we visited the market hall and bought a loaf of rye bread, and then toured the Ville-Close (the walled city), before having lunch in one of the crêpe and seafood restaurants there — although we still didn’t have crêpes or galettes. During our two-hour visit the sea level had risen considerably: see the first and the last picture below.
