Fifth day -- Swamp music

The swamp surroundings are pretty boring at this time of the year, since everything is mostly grey. Only bay leaves are green (no wonder they are a common ingredient in gumbos and other Louisiana dishes). The only fun part of the tour is, not holding two sleepy alligator youngsters in hands or trying to spot wild ones in the bayou, but the guide's bragging stories about his ancestors, fishing (or should I say shrimping) boats and Creole Cajun Kitchen, the specialty of Nawlins that only tourists can meet (hah!). After all, we do learn something about crocodiles and alligators and how they differ, besides living far away from each other except in Florida. The tour is not really worth of $38 for an adult.
